2019 Thanksgiving & Christmas Holiday Gift Giving Events

VPH had the opportunity to serve the community during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. Thanks our many supporters, friends, and family we were able to provide food baskets to families in need and holiday gift bags to women at Tranquility House a Domestic Violence shelter. We are kicking off a series of financial literacy, freedom, and empowerment webinars and workshops. Our financial expert is Tania K. Robinson. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Evangelist Anita Gardner will talk to us about this impactful topic in our community. This is a difficult topic for many to broach, but awareness is power. You don’t have to be a victim of domestic violence, but you likely know someone who is a victim. On average, 24 people per minute are victims of rape, physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner in the United States — more than 12 million women and men over the course of a year. The subject matter of the webinar is overcoming sexual trauma.

The Pain Behind a Smile is an adaptation of the childhood of Angela Foxworth and chronicles her life from ages 6-15. You will experience the trauma she endured and the effect it had on her young life. You will also discover the true strength we have within ourselves to overcome the adversities in our lives!
